Tuna Sandwich

Food is that one thing a man cannot do without, apart from it being that entity that we need daily to survive, the food also serve so many other purposes like it being a beautiful art, a luxury, that thing that adds flavour to your life and to others, that thing that either keep you away from the doctor or help you heal faster, stay healthy or manage a health condition.
Bilkisu sent in this amazing recipe (tuna sandwich, cinnamon and ginger infused green tea) that she tags 'breakfast for diabetics. It is not a new knowledge that vegetables are great for our health, so is the ginger infused tea which is basking with great health benefits 
Bilkisu, apart from being a great cook that has come up or thought us different recipes, also care for what one most eat to stay healthy.
Here is how Bilkisu made her amazing breakfast for Diabetics:

Ingredients

Hummus( chickpea)
Whole wheat Bread
Cucumbers
Tomatoes
Tuna fish
Avocado
Ginger
Cinnamon stick
Honey
Lemon
Green Tea

Directions

Tuna sandwich:

  • Spread hummus(chickpea spread) on wholewheat toast.

  •  Layer sliced cucumbers, tomatoes and slices of grilled or pan fried tuna on the toast to make sandwich.

  • Serve with avocado

Cinnamon and ginger infused green tea:

  • Boil water with fresh ginger and cinnamon stick.

  • Allow to infuse for 5mins then use it to brew the green tea.

  • Serve with honey and lemon.
