Though Deyinka's version of gizdodo is the same as most other gizdodo recipes, there are some ingredients and method of cooking that makes this stand out from other recipes. Here is how Deyinka made her healthy gizdodo.
Ingredients
Plantain
Spices
Pepper
Onions
Ginger
Garlic and
Olive/canola oil
Salt to taste.
Directions
- Blend pepper, tomatoes, onions with ginger and garlic.
- Boil gizzard with onions and salt
- Boil pepper till dry.
- Dice plantain.
- Heat oil in a non stick pan
- Add onions, followed by pepper, spices(curry, thyme stock cube)
- Add gizzard, stir on low heat
- Add plantains last.
- For extra crunchiness grill plantain and gizzard before stir frying.
