Valentine Day Breakfast - Flat Fried Puff Puff



Food is truly an art, if you put your mind to it, you can come up with great artistic and beautiful results. While almost everyone had the normal meal they have on valentines day, Ifeoma got hold of her artistic self and make this ''I love you Flat Fried Puff Puff'' for the one cares so much about (now are you thinking ''why did I not do something so creative). Well do not beat yourself up, their is always next year and Ifeoma has sent us how she made this lovely meal to help us learn. Now you can be creative in your approach.

Ingredients:


wheat flour
yeast
glucose
sodium Bicarbonate
vanilla flavor
sugar
grapes
vegetable oil

Directions


  • Mix the wheat flour, yeast, glucose, sodium Bicarbonate, vanilla flavor, sugar in warm water until you have a smooth paste. 

  • Batter should be thick and smooth with a couple of bubbles, or you can use a puff puff mix instead. Cover the mixture neatly and keep in a warm place for 45-60 minutes . The batter will be double its original size when ready

  • Place frying pan on medium heat, pour oil in the pan (just enough to make the batter not to stick), i used a tea spoon of oil for mine. 

  • Pour in the batter and spread evenly. 

  • Cook until bubble appear on top then flip to the other side and cook. 

  • Use a sharp knife to cut the puff puff into different shapes of your choice.


  • Place grapes together with your puff puff and serve with cereal or cold yoghourt.

  • This method of frying puff puff is good for those that require to reduce their oil intake
