Dambu (Northern Nigeria delicacy)

We love Bilkisu's recipes, they look fantastic in the eyes and make your mouth water every single time. She truly brings the art in the food she makes, which makes it picture perfect.
NFC shows the nation Nigeria has diverse recipes, owing to our diverse culture, ethnicity and even religion.
The Dambu(Northern Nigeria Delicacy) is a  great meal all the way from the Northern part of Nigeria, apart from the are it exudes, the Dambu is also tasty and healthy as the ingredients used are healthy ones basking with great nutrients. Bilkisu showed us how to make the Dambu and it is pretty easy to do.


Ingredients: 


1 cup coarsely crushed wheat
2 cups fresh moringa leaves,
1 diced onion, 
2 chopped peppers,
1cup crushed raw groundnut

Directions:

Add 1cup water to wheat, keep aside till it soaks up water. Add all the other ingredients, season with salt. 

Steam (mixture up, water below) for 30mins. 

Serve with oil, yaji and golden brown fried onions😋
