Potato Balls and Wheat Pap.

Potato is that great food one can use for over a dozen recipes, ranging from French fries to mashed potatoes and many more. However, what has not been commonly done by many with the potatoes is the potato balls. This is a great recipe for a good breakfast, apart from being a very healthy meal, the potato ball is also tasty and easy to make. Pap is just that hot beverage you would love to have in a cold morning, it soothing and also tasty when done rightly, it is also a healthy meal popular amongst Nigerians for many years.
Ummulmumineen showed us how to make the potato balls and wheat pap the easy way


For the wheat pap.


  • Grind Wheat

  • sieve the wheat powder to remove chaff, mix with water to make a paste not too watery or thick, pour boiling water then stir and put back on fire for the pap to be properly cooked then add milk and sugar to taste.

For potato balls



  • Peel potatoes( for this recipe I used irish potatoes but alternatively sweet potatoes and yam can do the magic) wash, and boil with salt
  • Cut tomatoes, pepper and Spring onions, Grind garlic and crayfish.
  • Mash the cooked potatoes in a mortar add all the ingredients and a seasoning cube then mix together. Take out and roll into balls. Beat egg in a separate bowl
  • Put oil on fire till hot then dip the potato balls into the beaten egg then place in the hot oil and fry till golden brown.
