Iced biscuit recipe submitted by our lovely subscriber Hilda Ndackson, this sure looks easy to make , and also a nice one for kids because of the beautiful handcrafted decoration and perfect for just everyone
Ingredients
- 200g unsalted butter
- 200g sugar
- 1 egg lightly beaten
- 400g plain flour
Directions
- Pre-heat oven to 180C
- Cream the butter and sugar until well mixed and just becoming creamy in texture. Don’t overwork, or the cookies will spread during baking.

- Place the dough on a floured surface and knead briefly. Using icing spacers, roll it out on to an even thickness
- Use cookie cutters and cut out the desired shape and place on a baking sheet lined with baking paper
- Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes (depending on size) until they are golden brown at the edges
- Leave to cool on a wire rack until fully cooled to
Decoration
You can use fondant icing or royal icing depending on the decoration you want.
